Terms
These terms cover your use of toxlens.com. They’re short and written in plain English, because terms you can’t understand protect nobody. By using the site, you agree to them.
Information, not medical advice
Toxlens publishes exposure-reduction information: what the research says about everyday chemicals and materials, and how to reduce your exposure if you choose to. It’s general information, not medical advice, and it’s no substitute for a qualified professional who knows your situation. Don’t start, stop, or change any treatment based on something you read here. If you have a health concern, see a doctor.
Accuracy and updates
We work hard to get things right: we cite claims to primary research, and our methodology explains how we grade the evidence. But science moves, studies get superseded, and products get reformulated. Content reflects the evidence at its reviewed date, and we can’t guarantee every page is current or error-free. If you spot something wrong, tell us and we’ll fix it.
Using our content
Everything on this site is our copyright unless noted otherwise. You’re welcome to read, share, and quote it with a link back to the original article. You may not republish whole articles, scrape the site, or pass our work off as your own, commercially or otherwise, without written permission. Ask first: luc@lucdossis.com.
Third-party links
We link out to studies, regulators, retailers, and other sites. Some retail links are affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure). We don’t control third-party sites and aren’t responsible for their content, availability, or how they handle your data. Any purchase you make from a retailer is between you and them.
No warranties, limited liability
The site is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties about the site or its content. We aren’t liable for losses arising from your use of it, or from decisions you make based on it. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that consumer law doesn’t let us exclude.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The reviewed date below always shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law and contact
Toxlens is operated by Luc Dossis from Melbourne, Australia, and these terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Questions go to luc@lucdossis.com.
