Disclosure
Toxlens exists to answer one question honestly: is this actually harmful, or not? This page explains how the site is funded, and why that funding never touches our answers.
How Toxlens makes money
Toxlens is reader-supported. Our income comes from affiliate commissions: some links on this site are affiliate links, and if you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The full detail is on our affiliate disclosure page.
We don’t run sponsored posts, we don’t accept payment for coverage or reviews, and no brand can pay to change a verdict or have a page removed.
Our verdicts are independent
Every verdict and evidence-strength rating on this site comes from our published methodology, which puts peer-reviewed human studies and regulatory assessments first. Whether a product has an affiliate program plays no part in how it’s graded. If the better-evidenced choice earns us nothing, we recommend it anyway. And when the honest answer is that you don’t need to buy anything, we say that too.
Affiliate income pays for the research time and tools that keep everything here free to read. Readers fund this site by shopping through our links. Brands don’t fund it at all.
What we are not
Toxlens is exposure-reduction information, not medical advice. We’re not doctors, and nothing here is a diagnosis or a treatment plan. If you have a health concern, talk to a qualified professional.
Questions
If you ever want to know whether a relationship sits behind a recommendation, ask. Email luc@lucdossis.com and you’ll get a straight answer.
